About Manjit Minhas

Manjit Minhas is an award-winning, born and raised Calgarian, engineering student turned beer baroness entrepreneur who founded Minhas Breweries, Distilleries and Wineries at the ripe age of 19 years old with her brother, Ravinder Minhas, who has grown the company to the 10th largest brewery in North America. Selling over 7 billion pints of world class beer!

She is the host of a Top 10 Apple Podcast (The Manjit Minhas Podcast) where she interviews top business leaders and CEOs to gain insight and to hear how you can walk the path of success. She is an accomplished public speaker and mentor. Manjit is widely recognized for her role as the straight-talking tough Dragon investor with flair on the multi award winning CBC show, Dragons’ Den for the last 7 years/season.

Community is very important to Manjit,  she was the United Way Campaign co-chair raising $60 Million plus for this charity that is close to her heart. Manjit donates time and money to philanthropic causes in Calgary that benefit women and children such as United Way and Ronald McDonald charities.  She continues to serve as a Board of Director for ATB Financial, YYC Calgary Airport Authority, Spiritleaf Cannabis, Shop and Shout and Alberta Small Brewers Association.

About the Host

Robert Fooks will moderate the Evening with the Entrepreneurs discussion. Robert is head of McLeod Law’s Business Law group with a background in business bringing first-hand knowledge to entrepreneurs, family enterprises, dental and healthcare professionals, land developers and banks.
