McLeod Law Mourns Loss of Former Partner
Christopher (Chris) George Thomas, Q.C.

After a hard fought battle with Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher (Chris) Thomas, Q.C. at the Foothills Country Hospice on Friday, February 21, 2014 at the age of 65 years.
Chris enjoyed a 40-year career in law and volunteerism which started in 1972 and ended upon his retirement as a partner at McLeod Law in 2011. Chris enjoyed his volunteering which included Legal Guidance, Uncles at Large, VRRI, the Special Olympics, Willow Park Community, many positions within Calgary Foundation, Canadian Bar Association, and Wills and Estates Section. Chris enjoyed golfing at Willow Park, riding his retro Kawasaki, fly fishing, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. Chris leaves to mourn, his wife Wendy; his sons Tyler (Aimee) and Lucas; grandchildren, Peyton, Bronwyn, Colton and Eva; his brother Brian (Heather); nephews, Chris and Devon; sisters-in-law, Donna Smith (Jim) and Carolyn Cowan; and mother-in-law Anne Cowan. Chris was predeceased by his father Ted in 1976; mother Muriel in in 2009; and father-in-law George Cowan in 1993.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Fish Creek Chapel

In living memory of Chris Thomas, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
