In memoriam of McLeod Law alumni, Barry Steinfeld and Christopher Thomas QC, two awards were established through the University of Calgary, Faculty of Law. The 2019 recipients were recently announced and we applaud their achievement.

The Barry Steinfeld Award in Law honours Barry's commitment to the client and his mentorship of junior lawyers. The scholarship was established in 2018 by one of his mentees, a true reflection of Barry’s mentorship of junior lawyers.

The Christopher G. Thomas QC Memorial Prize is awarded to a student who demonstrates outstanding academic performance in Wills and Estates or Estate Planning.
