Krystian Sekowski recently completed his second year of the JD/MBA program at the University of Calgary. He joins the firm with experience as a Law Student Intern at the BLG Business Venture Clinic (BVC), where he completed due diligence reports for UCeed and supported local entrepreneurs and businesses. Starting in the fall, Krystian will join the UCeed Haskayne Student Fund as an Associate.
During his time at law school, Krystian has primarily focused on business, corporate, M&A, and energy law courses. Beyond academics, he advises a local MLA on developing AI regulation and served as a Teaching Assistant for a Business Law course at the Haskayne School of Business. Krystian has also actively volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC), where he contributed to the Hearsay Podcast.
Prior to law school, Krystian studied both piano and organ performance, along with orchestral conducting, across Europe and North America. He worked and performed as a repetiteur at the Grand Theatre - National Opera House in Warsaw, Poland while completing his graduate studies in piano performance at his alma mater in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
In his free time, Krystian enjoys swimming, singing in choirs, learning new piano and pipe organ repertoire, practicing jiu-jitsu, and playing through Bach's 48 Prelude & Fugues while eating his wife's excellent pastries.
