Katie is an associate in the Wills, Estates and Trusts department. Her practice includes estate planning, estate administration, and non-contentious guardianship and trusteeship matters.
Katie works with clients to understand their unique estate planning needs. She creates comprehensive Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, and Personal Directives that accurately reflect the wishes and intentions of her clients.
Katie also works closely with clients during the difficult time of a loved one’s passing, and assists with the estate administration process including the application for Grant of Probate or Administration. Katie can also assist clients with Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship applications.
Katie has been at McLeod since the summer of 2021. Prior to completing law school at the University of Calgary, Katie attended Mount Royal University and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Studies. During her studies, she worked in various customer service positions and served her community by volunteering at the Calgary Distress Centre. Outside of the office, Katie can be found enjoying the outdoors and spending time with family, friends, and her Bernese Mountain Dog.
