Imasha Thia is an associate in our Business Litigation practice group. As a litigator, she is passionate about providing excellent client service and persuasively advocating for her clients. Imasha has successfully represented her clients at multiple levels of court in Alberta.
Imasha’s practice focuses primarily on corporate/commercial litigation and employment law matters, which includes:
- Business litigation, including contested shareholder and partner disputes.
- Contract disputes.
- Debt recovery.
- Real estate litigation, including partition and sale matters.
- Employment issues
Employees and employers come to Imasha with a range of employment matters, including:
- Non-competition and non-solicitation agreements;
- Wrongful dismissal claims;
- Constructive dismissal claims;
- Severance package reviews;
- Employment contract drafting and disputes; and
- Workplace harassment.
For Imasha, the most rewarding experience is using her skills to help people. Building rapport and maintaining relationships are some of her greatest qualities and she carries these traits with her in every aspect of her life.
Life outside the law: Imasha is a former Westjetter, and has traveled extensively around the world. Imasha is a serious foodie and you will often find her dining at many of Calgary’s must-try places.
