McLeod Law is pleased to announce the arrival of Doug Ewens, KC, and the establishment of a dedicated Tax Group within the firm.

Over the past four decades, Doug has earned a stellar reputation, among colleagues and clients alike, for addressing clients’ most complex tax challenges by both structuring tax-effective transactions and resolving any disputes that may arise with the CRA. Originally from Ontario, Doug moved to Calgary with McCarthy and McCarthy (now McCarthy Tétrault) in the late 1970s to help set up the firm’s first office outside of Ontario and to serve as McCarthy Tétrault’s National Tax leader for eight years. After retiring as Partner from McCarthy Tétrault, Doug joined PwC Law LLP to open its Calgary office and was most recently Counsel at Moodys Private Client LLP.

Complementing our existing suite of client services, McLeod Law's Tax Group will provide sophisticated tax advice and strategic solutions tailored to both business and personal clients. This expansion allows McLeod Law to offer an even broader spectrum of legal services to our clients, making us a one-stop destination for all their legal needs.
