Since 2004, Marissa has made estate and trust planning and administration the focus of her practice. Marissa advises clients on a range of estate and trust planning and administration matters including:

  • preparation of wills, trusts, enduring powers of attorney and personal directives
  • obtaining guardianship and trusteeship orders
  • advising clients who act as an Executor, Trustee, Attorney or Agent on their duties and navigating contentious issues
  • advising beneficiaries of a trust or estate of their rights
  • incapacity/represented adult matters including contested issues
  • court applications for estate and represented adult matters

Prior to joining McLeod Law, Marissa gained valuable experience at a national trust company as the Prairies Regional Manager for estate, trust and power of attorney administration and assisted high net worth clients with estate planning.

Marissa is a frequent presenter on estate planning and estate administration topics.
