To the extent that McLeod Law is able, we have confirmed that information collected will be stored within Canada. We do however use a trusted third-party software to disseminate electronic mail communications, typically restricted to your name and email address, which is hosted by leading cloud infrastructure provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS product infrastructure resides in the US east region or in the Germany region and maintains an audited security program, as well as physical, environmental, and infrastructure security protections. Business continuity and disaster recovery plans have been independently validated as part of their SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 certifications. We retain the information that we collect in accordance with our legal obligations. Unless otherwise required, we take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify personal information we have collected if such personal information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected.
Security
While the personal information you send is secure once it reaches the McLeod Law server, we can never guarantee security between your computer and ours. We cannot guarantee the security of any communication to or from the Website. McLeod Law does not assume any liability for any damages you may experience or costs you may incur as a result of any electronic transmissions over the internet, other forms of networks or otherwise while using the Website.
Third-party websites
Our Website may present links to other websites. You should be aware that operators of linked websites may also collect your personal information and information generated through the use of cookies when you link to their websites.
